I usually recommend the PlayStation 3 pretty much exclusively for readers looking for a Blu-ray player, but this deal is a good one if you are looking to get into Blu-ray at a bargain price.  The BDP-S300 does not support the advanced audio codecs Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD, making it best suited to systems without separate sound systems.  It comes from Sony’s online store, the best possible vendor when buying a refurbished Sony product.  If you  want to move beyond DVD into true high-definition movies but don’t want to build a complete home theater with a sound system, this is a great choice.
