These days you can’t have too many memory cards, and in my opinion you can’t have too many memory card readers, either. I have found the Sandisk MicroMate to be one of the most handy accessories in my arsenal.
If you have more than one camera or more than one computer, you probably need more than one card reader. It’s easy to forget to take your card reader from your computer desk and put it into your laptop or camera bag, and unless you brought the camera cable with you then you won’t be doing much with your pictures. That’s why I have found the MicroMate to be so indispensable. Almost everything I work with uses SD or SDHC cards so I have an SDHC MicroMate in every camera bag and every computer bag.
The bonus is I didn’t even have to pay for them, not really! You will often see a MicroMate bundled with a memorys card, and I have found the bundles for less than the cards normally sell for themselves. If you need memory cars, look for MicroMate bundles and get a great high-speed card reader in the deal!
