Pentax will be holding special events nationwide to introduce their new K-7 digital SLR, an outstanding new camera which is making waves in the photo world. \u00a0The events are open to the public and there will be a number of K-7 cameras and a selection of Pentax lenses on hand so people can give them all a try. \u00a0They will also be holding a drawing and giving away a K-7 worth $1,299 at every gathering!<\/p>\n

I have a lot or readers in Minneapolis so I am posting to let you all know that there will be a kickoff event held there on July 29th.<\/p>\n

The location has not been announced yet as they are looking for a spot in a park, restaurant or hotel with some space they can use. \u00a0If you Minneapolis folks have any suggestions for a location, please\u00a0email me<\/a>\u00a0and I will pass the information along to their PR department.\u00a0 Keep checking back for more info on the Minneapolis event.<\/p>\n

– August 9th am or mid-day \u2013 San Francisco, CA<\/p>\n

– August 11th am or mid-day \u2013 Seattle, WA<\/p>\n

– August 12th mid-day \u2013 Portland, OR<\/p>\n

– August 14th – 2 gatherings at anytime – NYC<\/p>\n

– August 15th \u2013 2 gatherings at anytime- NYC<\/p>\n

– August 16th \u2013 late afternoon or evening \u2013 Miami, FL<\/p>\n

– August 17th \u2013 evening \u2013 Orlando, FL<\/p>\n

– August 18th \u2013 morning or mid-day – OrlandoYears ago I used a Pentax 645 for years as a full-time professional photographer and I use Pentax digital SLRs today. \u00a0I love the combination of in-camera image stabilization and the excellent lenses, especially their fixed focal length pancake lenses which are unique in the industry. \u00a0I hope you can stop by and see what makes these cameras special!
