Extras from Cameraland are a nice, personal touch! <\/strong><\/p>\n Soon I will be writing about the new Olympus PEN E-P1<\/a>, a compact interchangeable lens camera that is causing a frenzy right now.\u00a0 I wanted one for myself but could not find one amongst the usual online vendors… all were sold out or backordered.\u00a0 I finally found one at Cameraland<\/a>, a New York store offering cameras and optics such as binoculars and spotting scopes.<\/p>\n Cameraland shipped it next day for only $25… the box got here today, right on schedule.\u00a0 Besides the camera, flash unit and extra battery I ordered, I was delighted to find a nice Cameraland hat, a package of Cafe’ Bustelo and a picture of the Cameraland crew.\u00a0 It’s remarkable how such thoughtful, unexpected extras can add to the experience and let you know that your business is appreciated… nice job, guys!<\/p>\n The E-P1 combines the convenience and compactness of a compact camera with the image quality and interchangeable lenses of a digital SLR.\u00a0 It is also a 720p high definition camcorder (with noisy autofocus, focus manually.)\u00a0 Combined with image quality that appears phenomenal straight out of the camera, this is the camera a lot of people have been waiting for.\u00a0 I have to tell you, just holding it makes you want to take pictures.\u00a0 It feels like you have an old style, high-class precision rangefinder camera\u00a0 in your hand.\u00a0 By all accounts Olympus has knocked one out of the park with this one and I am anxious to put the PEN E-P1 through its paces.<\/p>\n Read more about the PEN E-P1:<\/p>\n Will it blend?\u00a0 That is the question! <\/a><\/p>\n
