CES Day 2: Images from the show floor
Sharp Booth: LOTS of LCD TVs
I just got in from my flight home from Vegas so won’t be posting any more today. Soon I will have more coming about my second day at CES, including some neat stuff from the High Performance Audio exhibits.
Sharp Aquos 108″ LCD TV. Yours for $100,000 or so, made to order!
Sherwood Blu-ray player
This is Sherwood’s new Blu-ray player. It’s beautifully made and looks like a shorter version of LG’s BH200 Blu-ray/HD DVD combo player. Perhaps they are sourced from the same factory. Anyway, it is a nice unit but only Profile 1.1 so it may face some competitive issues in the marketplace, with Profile 2.0 modes becoming the new standard.
Sherwood Newcastle R-972 Receiver
Sherwood Newcastle’s R-972 receiver is a stunner and promises top-notch performance. It will sell for $1799.
iPiglet
This is from the Showstoppers mini-show held at the Wynn. It’s an iPod speaker dock, the smaller version of the larger iPig. To the right you can see the iBoo, a ghost-shaped model.
